RICOLOPEZ pays special attention to color and light. His luminous  whites with bursts of color in the waters, the skies and the fields, all creating a vigorous explosion.

RICOLOPEZ loves to paint peasant women and men working on the heaving wheat fields, their bends and effort or just taking a drink from an earthen jar.

Although in some paintings RICOLOPEZ plays with the sweet nature of beings,  some other times he approaches his subjects in an spectral way with faces marked by a grimace of pain.

Oil paint becomes a medium for RICOLOPEZ's poetry.
